DEFINITE Sisters!

Wow! We got Jillian's 4-month portraits yesterday and I realized that in the picture, Jillian's wearing a pink dress with white satin shoes, the same her sister wore when she had her 4-month portraits taken! Well, when I held them side-by-side for comparison, they look VERY similar!

Just had to share these...they're amazing!!

Jillian meets SANTA!

Oh how fun tonight was! Our neighborhood association hosted Santa tonight at our local elementary school and we took the girls!

Santa was so thrilled to see Jayna again and he was even more excited about finally meeting Jillian for the FIRST time! He immediately reached out for her, gave her a big hug and said, "I love you, Jillian!" She looked at him and smiled her famous smile! The elves took pictures and will send us the pictures when they're in. We were able to take our own pictures and so here are the 2 we took of Jillian.

Be sure to visit www.jaynasworld.blogspot.com to see Jayna's picture!!

Enjoy and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I'm a BIG GIRL NOW!

We absolutely adore Jillian. She's so precious. Jillian and Jayna are such precious gifts to us from the Lord and we cherish every moment we have with them. We love being parents to these children.

Saturday, Nonnie & Papa (Katherine's parents, Carol & Harry) came for a visit after attending a wedding in McKinney and we spent the afternoon together having fun visiting and shopping at Sam's. We even went to Abuelo's to eat dinner which is always a treat!!

While we were at home, Nonnie and I decided it was time to change this little girl and get ready to go to Sam's when I thought it would be nice to weigh her on our infant scale and see how much she weighed. Now...in November when we went to the doctor for her RSV episode, she weighed 14.3 pounds. When we weighed her on Saturday she weighed 15.11 pounds!!! THE GIRL LOVES TO EAT!

This precious baby is only 4 months old (as of Nov. 30th) and weighs almost 16 pounds!! WOW!!

She will go to the doctor on Friday for her 4 month checkup and shots. Hope the doctor loves her baby rolls as much as I do!!

Always,
MommyCurlee

It's the tender moments we cherish

Why is it we love looking at babies while they sleep? Is it because the world around them, so hectic and chaotic, finally comes to a hault and life, as we know it, becomes peaceful again? Maybe. Maybe it's because we can see ourselves in them? Who knows. But I know this: I love seeing my children sleep.

For each day that we wake up, we enter a whole new world in the life of the Curlee family. Jayna's a new person everyday. Literally. Jillian is following suit. Today Jillian was full of conversation of "oo's" and squeels and those sounds when they suck in the air to make that sweeky sound. She talked, what seemed to be, all day. But...when the day finally ended for her, she cuddled up to her lovey (thank you Aunt Tammy), held on for dear life and fell asleep. Fast asleep.

I think the most tender moments of our lives are when we're still and quiet. When we "sleep." God can do so much with and through us in those times. I've learned this over the past month. Our children teach us so much whether we realize it or not. They live life for the moment. They're risk-takers, their passionate about whatever they're doing and they love you no matter what. I find that in those times when I'm frustrated and about ready to scream, Jayna always comes up to me and says, "Mommy, I love you very much." Ok, my heart melts at that moment and I forget all that is going on around me to frazzle my world.

The saying, "Children are a gift from the Lord" is the truest of statements. They really are precious gifts.

I love my children. I love Jayna. I love Jillian. I LOVE LIFE!
