It's the tender moments we cherish

Why is it we love looking at babies while they sleep? Is it because the world around them, so hectic and chaotic, finally comes to a hault and life, as we know it, becomes peaceful again? Maybe. Maybe it's because we can see ourselves in them? Who knows. But I know this: I love seeing my children sleep.
For each day that we wake up, we enter a whole new world in the life of the Curlee family. Jayna's a new person everyday. Literally. Jillian is following suit. Today Jillian was full of conversation of "oo's" and squeels and those sounds when they suck in the air to make that sweeky sound. She talked, what seemed to be, all day. But...when the day finally ended for her, she cuddled up to her lovey (thank you Aunt Tammy), held on for dear life and fell asleep. Fast asleep.
I think the most tender moments of our lives are when we're still and quiet. When we "sleep." God can do so much with and through us in those times. I've learned this over the past month. Our children teach us so much whether we realize it or not. They live life for the moment. They're risk-takers, their passionate about whatever they're doing and they love you no matter what. I find that in those times when I'm frustrated and about ready to scream, Jayna always comes up to me and says, "Mommy, I love you very much." Ok, my heart melts at that moment and I forget all that is going on around me to frazzle my world.
The saying, "Children are a gift from the Lord" is the truest of statements. They really are precious gifts.
I love my children. I love Jayna. I love Jillian. I LOVE LIFE!
